Prioritize your to-do list: Get things done

When you work on a lot of different projects, or different areas of business, then you tend to have a never-ending to-do list.

I constantly vary between written and digital versions of to-do lists, and also use some pretty elaborate project management software that I synchronize everything with.

If you are someone who uses a similar system to this then I am sure you will also find that there are some tasks on your to-do list that are constantly there. They tend to be the jobs that we don’t really want to do. Maybe they take too much time, maybe they’re not important or we’re just not sure of what to do.

The solution:

I recently came up with a simple daily task that has really helped me to work through a lot of these items that I was putting off. That daily task is to do one thing a day that you don’t want to do or you feel challenged to do. Each day, I look through my to-do list and find one of those tasks that I have been putting off, and complete it as a high priority. It’s amazing how quickly I can empty those reoccurring constant tasks when I start to action them like this.

If you are in a position where your task list is daunting, your projects are not moving or you simply just don’t know where to begin, then follow this one daily action to do a single task that you do not want to do.
