Never Stop Learning
I recall hearing an illustration that talked about growth in plants. Even thought it seems like common sense, I had not considered that plants are constantly growing. They never reach a point where they stop; rather they are constantly growing in one form or another. The moment that a plant stops growing, it actually begins to die. This is a really interesting illustration to focus on when it comes to our own lives, especially with regards to growth and learning.
If we ever reach a point where we decide that we know enough or that we have grown enough as a person, we are actually at the point when we begin to die intellectually. In the business of life that seems to afflict everyone these days, growing within ourselves and learning new skills is something that seems to get harder and harder as time goes on. But where there is a will, there is a way.
Faced with a similar challenge a few years ago, I was able to overcome it by seeking out audio podcasts. I attribute these free audio podcasts that I subscribed and listen to as my “degree” in internet business and marketing. This free content that has been developed and distributed to everyone is what I believe has taught me the most in life about business and personal growth.
With the amounts of media at our fingertips these days, and the knowledge that is being delivered to us in so many forms, there is no excuse today for not growing and not developing further in our lives and our skills.
